Two my favorites work together. Kyle Johnson once again captures someone in this city brilliantly. I love that he conveyed the guys of Dumb Eyes in their own element and similar to their style.


Dumb Eyes was last seen on the blog doing that Beat Connection video, but you can catch them at their PENETRATION monthly at The Bus Stop, or is it still at The Unicorn? I'm so dizzied by these effects I cannot think straight!

Local label Sub Pop has signed Shabazz Palaces. This is a huge deal, and a huge look for the hip hop in this city. Congratulations, gentlemen!! Let's hope every other band/group that has been grinding in this city for years also get some of this attention. I know I can think of a few...

Kyle Johnson - Oregon

KJ having a one day event at the famous Bemis building on October 17th, this Saturday. The show obviously consists of everything Oregon. I love his ever expanding portfolio, he seems to just get better and better, which is scary.

New Mayor?

The votes are still being counted (except for mine) but it's looking like everyone didn't vote for Nickels. As a matter of fact, in a recent poll 75% of Seattle said they didn't vote for Nickels. I was not there for Champagne Champagne unfortunately, and missed a lot of the shows I wanted to see on Sunday and Monday, but none the less it was a weekend filled with laughter, boozing, amazing music, and great people.
