MAD RAD AT THE COMET 5/29/09

this is Out For Stardom photographer Tyler(squintz)from Rabid Child Images. what an epic SOLD OUT show! it was crazy man. i fell a few times getting these pics and busted a piece of the lens hood off of my lens (it still works, though). also if you notice any blurry spots that is most likely the beer that got splashed on my lens. i had a great time and i hope mad rad crowds don't get any crazier than this! sorry to the other bands that i am sure were great, i arived a little too late to shoot all of the bands.

(Comet) This just in: The Comet is a great place to see a show, particularly if the act you're seeing has a reputation for being feral. Mad Rad weren't raised by wolves per se, but they do seem a little unable to play by the rules. Their hiphop only barely sounds like hiphop. Their songs have all sorts of extra stuff in them—airplanes flying overhead, Santigold-ish wailing that turns out to be one of the guys' falsetto. They are three white guys in colorful clothes. There will be jumping around. Tables will be stood on. Things will be spilled. CHRISTOPHER FRIZZELLE"

So I doodled this for us three white guys with colorful clothes.

Why does all the press keep focusing on us being white?? And do they NOT see Darwin?!

Then onto Portland where we play with Jaguar Love @The Rotture, and then onto afterparty with White Motherfuckin' Fang at The Meat Factory.


So much color!! Ahh the insanity!

Sasquatch Photos Day One

While everyone else was enjoying day one of Sasquatch, we decided to stay the hell away from the madness. We ended up camping an hour east of The Gorge, and I must say it was truly a beautiful relaxing evening with gorgeous people. The forever glowing Mary Kalhor gave me some of her favorites.

Wow!! What a weekend!! I was not there for Champagne Champagne unfortunately, and missed a lot of the shows I wanted to see on Sunday and Monday, but none the less it was a weekend filled with laughter, boozing, amazing music, and great people.
